Job: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights (4 days 4 off, 4 nights 4 off etc)
Location: Leicester
Salary: £54,848 including shift allowance
Holidays: 23 days off plus your birthday (option to buy/sell up to 3 extra days for year)
Pension: Employer doubles contribution up to 5%
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Leicester? You must be truly multi-skilled with a strong electrical & mechanical skill set. Ideally Engineers will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical or FMCG and looking for their next role, to be part of a great team of Engineers all striving to make the site run as efficiently as possible.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will involve:
- Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site
- Attend to breakdowns when necessary, ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery
- Carry out repairs to plant and equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team
- To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output
- Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI's through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance
- Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience
- Strong electrical & mechanical skill set
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Holder of City & Guilds 2391 certification (Inspection & Testing)
- Strong team player with a focus on continuous improvement
- Familiar with PLC systems; experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens is a plus
