Job Title: Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer
Location: Leicester
Salary: Entry £47,432 rising through two stages to a maximum of £50,749 dependant on experience
Shifts: Monday - Friday Perm Nights


We are looking for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a busy packaging plant in Leicester. Ideally Engineers will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical or FMCG and looking for their next role. You'll be joining a strong team of Engineers dedicated to ensuring smooth, efficient operations across the site. Your day-to-day will include a balance of reactive and planned preventative maintenance, driving continuous improvement projects, and helping identify root causes to increase reliability and performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical fault finding and repair on production machinery
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns
  • Lead small projects to improve plant performance
  • Conduct routine Health & Safety checks on equipment
  • Work with PLC controls and automation systems


Experience on any of the following machines would be advantageous:

  • Flow Wrappers
  • Slitting Machines
  • Check Weighers
  • Metal Detectors
  • Label Printing Machines
  • Vertical Form Fill & Seal Machines
  • Conveyor Systems
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Bearings
  • Motors
  • General building maintenance


Ideal Candidate:

  • Electrically focused engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Some mechanical/multi-skilled engineering experience
  • Experience in delivering improvement projects and efficiency initiatives
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG/pharma preferred, but not essential)
