Maintenance Engineer - 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) - Food Manufacturing
Location: March, Cambridgeshire
Salary:£52,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - rotating days & nights

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing company based in the March area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, playing a key role in maintaining and improving production machinery and site operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of food production machinery

  • Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns swiftly and effectively

  • Ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation of all equipment

  • Working closely with the engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement

  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across machinery and site services

  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment

  • Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance, both electrical and mechanical

  • Experience with breakdowns and PPM systems

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical)

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights schedule

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
