Are you passionate about sustainability, engineering reliability, and supporting high-performance manufacturing? We're looking for a Waste Treatment Engineer to take ownership of our waste and effluent systems within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This is a critical role in ensuring our factory operates safely, sustainability, and fully compliant with environmental standards.

The role

- Operate, monitor, and maintain the site's waste and effluent treatment systems, supporting smooth and compliant manufacturing operations

- Carry out hands-on mechanical work, including maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, pipework, and flow-control equipment

- Diagnose issues and perform effective fault-finding to minimise downtime and protect production

- Conduct routine inspections, testing, sampling, and data analysis to ensure treatment systems run at peak performance

- Work closely with production and hygiene teams to reduce waste generation and improve upstream processes

- Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation for environmental and manufacturing audits

- Support continuous improvement and engineering projects across the manufacturing site

- Ensure all activities meet food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
