Shift Electrician - Heavy Industrial Environment

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and tackling breakdowns quickly to keep downtime to a minimum

  • Following and promoting all site safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures

  • Playing a key role in implementing strategies to improve plant reliability and performance

  • Ensuring all work meets UK legislation and health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • National Certificate in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a heavy industrial or process engineering setting (5 years preferred)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

  • Experience with PLCs, variable speed drives, and process instrumentation is a strong plus

Shift Pattern

  • 4 on / 4 off rotation - 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm & 7pm-7am)

  • Rotating from days to nights every 3 cycles

  • Enjoy a 16-day break every 6 weeks as part of your rota

Package

  • Total salary: £48,281

    • Base salary: £37,859

    • Shift allowance: £10,422
