Role: Maintenance Shift Leader
Salary: £52,000
Location: Clitheroe
Shifts: 3 on 3 off Days & Nights rotating

Are you an experienced Shift Leader from an FMCG or fast paced manufacturing background? I am recruiting for an Engineering Shift Leader to join a fast-paced food manufacturing site based in Clitheroe offering a salary of £52k. This is a hands-on role where you'll handle day-to-day maintenance on shift and help make sure planned and reactive maintenance jobs are completed across all production equipment.

The Role:

• Oversee daily engineering activities and lead the team to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance tasks
• Hold shift handovers and daily reviews, ensuring key actions and updates are communicated clearly
• Ensure stock is accurately booked in and out
• Handle holiday and time-off requests fairly, making sure there's enough cover to keep things running smoothly
• Review and optimise preventative maintenance plans using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques
• Support major breakdown repairs, escalating issues where necessary
• Carry out regular internal audits to capture departmental standards, review, and action findings

Ideal Candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - Ideally apprentice trained
• Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership experience - managing or mentoring engineers
• Multi-skilled bias (mechanical/electrical)
• Comfortable managing both tools and team planning
• Experience managing PPMs
