About the Company

The organization is a global leader in explosion protection and purge systems, supporting industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, and industrial processing to operate safely in hazardous environments.

The Role

The company is seeking a hands-on, proactive Operations Assistant to join a small and agile team of four at their Ohio facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, inventory management, and logistics-ensuring the production team is equipped and operations run smoothly.

The position also offers an excellent opportunity to grow into a leadership role, supporting and eventually helping to lead the assembly team. Full leadership training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing and vendor communications
  • Oversee inventory levels and stock availability
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
  • Maintain documentation and traceability for orders and imports/exports
  • Support compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Work closely with colleagues at the international Head Office
  • Take part in continuous improvement activities

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Comfortable working in a small team environment (just 4 people on-site)
  • ERP system and Microsoft Office experience
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and proactive mindset
  • Bonus: APICS or similar certification

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Manufacturing facility: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Purchasing support: 2 years (Required)
  • Logistics: 2 years (Required)
