Role: Workshop Supervisor
Salary: Up to 55k + quarterly bonus
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Shifts: 12 hour shifts (Days and Nights rotating) which includes 1 weekend in 3

Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor with experience of working within a heavy manufacturing background looking for a new role within a leading manufacturing business in Burton on Trent? As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be supervising a team of 10 which includes a team leader and operators. This role is not desk based, being present on the shop floor is a large part of this role. Working 12 hour shifts (Days and Nights rotating) which includes 1 weekend in 3, offering a salary of £50-55K + quarterly bonus.

The Role:

• Responsible for the efficient operation of the lines minimising downtimes
• Health and Safety is a huge part of this role - minimising risks is key
• Conduct quality checks in key areas on a regular basis, taking responsibility for the quality competence across the shift
• Development of team members and operational processes including safety, quality, environmental, customer service and cost
• Day to day management of your operatives which will include performance management, absence management, and motivation of the team at all times

Suitable Candidate:

• Experienced Supervisor from a heavy manufacturing background
• Strong understanding of H&S working practices
• Be able to understand and work to set quality standards
• Able to drive change and set boundaries and hold people accountable
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential
